From then on, we can no longer create today as we created yesterday. This is why we have chosen to move away from having, towards being.

We have drawn from you, your lives, your needs, your impulses, to design useful forms with true lines, enhanced with precious details. Creations that feel self-evident, that resemble you, and reveal a part of your personality and of your intimacy.

It is an immense joy for us to write this story, yours, by your side. It is also, and we are fully aware of it, a responsibility. Because an object we love and grow attached to should never leave us, such is our promise: to offer you pieces made to accompany you for a lifetime.

This commitment demands uncompromising quality, but also time, the time indispensable to a meticulous making, attentive to the smallest details.

French craftsmanship

The heritage of a tradition

To shape our designs, scenes of your everyday life, your memories and your creativity, we called upon passionate artisans. Men and women endowed with exceptional savoir-faire, deep convictions, and a taste for detail that borders on excellence.

To meet these standards, it seemed essential to us to establish our production in France.

This choice, which we are proud to uphold and to carry as a signature, guarantees you meticulous finishes: cutting, reinforcing and hand stitching are carried out in the utmost respect for traditional haute maroquinerie.

This quest for rigour and precision, combined with the proximity between our design and production ateliers, nourishes a constant dialogue with our artisans. As long as our bags have not left the leather workshop, nothing is set. Every detail can be revisited, adjusted, altered.

This is how our creations take shape, the fruit of a long chain of care, savoir-faire and measured gestures, before existing in your hands at their highest level of execution.

Leathers

A living material

To remain consistent with our values and our vision, and because we feel a sincere need to align our actions with our convictions, we use materials among the most durable. Joséphine Paris leathers come exclusively from European farms and French tanneries. This anchoring in the local supply chain guarantees transparency and consistent quality.

Our hides are then treated by French tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group, a byword for traceability and exemplary social practices. These workshops commit to using no chemicals that could harm the health of the clients and employees of our Maison.

The exterior of our designs is dressed in full-grain calfskin, known for its suppleness and resistance. Its particularity is to undergo neither artificial finishing nor correction. Its selection meets extremely rigorous criteria: only hides of exceptional quality are retained.

This living leather grows more beautiful with time. Over the seasons, our pieces develop a patina until they bear the singular imprint of the woman who carries them.

Our Liane green suede calfskin linings, the signature of the Maison, are for their part recognisable at first glance. Their silky, velvety touch turns every gesture into a sensory experience, the promise of a feeling of softness and comfort.

Hardware

Bespoke finishes

Precious details par excellence, our hardware pieces are designed exclusively for the Maison Joséphine Paris. They are shaped in brass, then plated in yellow gold.

Buckles, snap hooks and collar studs are worked with the precision of a goldsmith to offer you finishes of the greatest refinement, designed to withstand the test of time and keep their lustre for years to come.

These details, with their enveloping, warm light, sign our designs and reveal all their elegance.
