• The small tote

The small design generally displays a width between 25 and 32 cm. Compact but not lacking in character, it suits perfectly for light outings: lunch in town, evening out, weekend without luggage. Its structure, most often supple or semi-rigid, allows it to slip under the arm or to be carried on the shoulder with natural ease.

Average capacity: wallet, phone, keys, small notebook. Ideal for 3 to 5 essentials.

• The medium tote

The medium format, between 33 and 42 cm wide, is the most versatile. It represents the heart of the range of many fine leather craft collections, and for good reason: it adapts as well to a working day as to a weekend trip. • The large tote

From 43 cm wide onwards, we enter the category of the large tote, also called the XL tote. It is the ideal companion for train travel, intense days, professional trips. Some designs reach 50 to 55 cm, offering a capacity close to that of a small carry-on.

Here is our advice:

• For petite figures (under 1.65 m)

A large tote carried on the shoulder can visually crush a fine and slight silhouette. We will favour small and medium designs whose proportions naturally accord with a light stature. The ideal width is between 28 and 38 cm. Crossbody or shoulder carry lengthens the silhouette.

• For taller figures (over 1.65 m)

Taller women can carry all formats with ease. The large tote finds its natural balance here: its generous dimensions echo an assertive stature without appearing disproportionate. Shoulder carry, for a bag falling to hip height, creates a harmonious line.

• For intermediate silhouettes

The medium tote is universally flattering. It suits all morphologies and is a safe investment if you are hesitating between two formats.
